Single vineyard Fiano from the Hugo estate. This wine is fresh and crisp yet also showing layers of complexity with weight and texture. There is not much Fiano planted where we are located in the McLaren Flat foothills so we were a really excited to see the potential of this variety on or vineyard.

Vintage Like any good vintage, 2024 has thrown us plenty of curve balls… but as they say, in the middle of adversity lies opportunity! A cool start to the growing season brought significant rains from November through to January. A week of

hot days approaching 40 degrees occurred in March resulting in the whole vineyard being harvested in 9 days. Thankfully, all our hard work is paying off with early indicators displaying fantastic results.

Vineyard Single vineyard Fiano from the Hugo estate.  This is our second release after grafting over from chardonnay on the property in 2021.

Winemaking Fruit was handpicked at sunrise and crushed early morning. Fermented cool to preserve fruit purity and delicacy. 50% of the wine is then matured in older french oak hogsheads & 50% is matured in stainless steel. Regular lee stirring is also applied to build generous mouth feel & texture.
