2023 Longboard Pinot Noir

Winemaker’s Tasting Notes

This elegant Pinot Noir shoes lifted black currant, cherry and plum characters supported by fine grained French oak tannins. This all leads to a soft, well- structured finish. It is a fine example of our cool climate region, with weight, depth and excellent length of flavour. Great cellaring potential.

Production Notes

Hand picked and de-stemmed to open fermenters with 30% left as whole bunches. After eight days of fermentation, the wine was pressed to new (10%) and used French oak barrels for malolactic fermentation. Bottled December 2023.
